Nero and the Shah

And lo, our Nero has sent his Cataphracts to decimate the Parthian realm. Their land lay barren, as our men have salted the farmlands and burned their forests. Now we may finally see peace in the Empire. He has come to claim the crown of the Shahanshah and the lands which are entitled by it, but he will spare no one in his quest. Simultaneously, the Shahanshah scrambles to respond, sending his Immortals, ten thousand strong, to cut down these horsemen. There is little these Immortals can do, however. Nero’s cataphracts have employed the mythical power of phlogiston, a substance which burns all in its path. The Shahanshah’s own alchemists caught in the blaze.

But no, our Nero is not Roman. In fact, there is little which connects him to the Latium, bar his insatiable lust for blood against the lands of Persia. Trump, the deranged president of the United States, has began a war which many thought would never come. With the thunder of bunker busters, he had destroyed, as many have reported, three of the five uranium enrichment sites in the Islamic Republic of Iran. This comes as a gambit, as Iran had warned of retaliation against the United States if the Trump Regime were to assist Israel against Iran in the two country’s incessant volleys of missiles being thrown at one another. Of course this was reason enough for the old fool to call the Islamic Republic’s bluff, and the bombs fell. But this is no righteous war, and there is no morally correct position to take besides hatred toward both regimes. The belligerents can only be described as such, belligerents. Enemies to their own populace as much as enemies to each other. The Imperial Core and the supposed “Axis of Resistance” have set their attack dogs to war, but that was nowhere near enough to settle their disputes, and now the Imperial Core has decided to end this once and for all. Israel’s pleas for assistance no longer fall on deaf ears, and the trumpets of war have sounded.

We have seen this before, where the proxies of the Imperial Core have failed to destroy the enemies of said Core, and the Core must take matters into it’s own hands. It happened in Afghanistan, when, ironically, a former United States proxy, The Mujaheddin, reformed into the Taliban and began to take over the country. This faction was formed to counter the Soviet army, who had invaded Afghanistan decades prior. The Taliban, a radical Islamist regime responsible for placing Afghanistan into a downward spiral. The United States could not let this happen, and in a righteous, perhaps even glorious war, they failed to stop the Taliban from resurfacing several years later.

It is common for the Imperial Core to attempt to squash uprisings against it with its proxies before ultimately stepping in to try to finish the job. We also saw this in much of Latin America, where American-backed contras would routinely attempt to re-establish tyrannical republican rule once any regime change would happen, with the most prominent operation being Operation Condor. While some of these counter-revolutions were successful, others would fail, which would leave us with the deeply flawed Cuban and Venezuelan Regimes, socialist in name only, where the production of commodities are paired with rampant rights violations.

But I digress, the Ayatollah had warned that this action would cause “irreparable damage” to the idea of stability in the region, but this has done little to dissuade the president of the United States. In fact, very little could have dissuaded this act, as Trump had been coyly stating that he would decide the fate of Iran for some time. It would only make sense that Trump was attempting to lull the Iranian regime into a form of false sense of security so when Trump’s attacks were to come, they would be caught off guard. This is the Modus Operandi for the senile president, and it has surprisingly worked quite well in this singular scenario.

This is not an act of supporting “Jewish Lives” or “Ending Tyranny”, however, this is an act of colonization. The goals of the United States in this war are twofold, to establish a new proxy for which it can extract more oil, and to crush any opposition to its rule. This has been how the United States has functioned since the advent of the Marshall Plan in 1947, which was established solely to stop the rise of Socialism within war-torn Europe. While the “Socialism” in question was nowhere near the proper form as outlined by Marx and Lenin in the early years of the USSR, it was nonetheless the enemy of Western Capital, and had to be destroyed, much like how the Islamic Republic must be destroyed to allow for American Hegemony to remain untouched.
